ROBERT BROWNING 1812-1889
More than any other writer of the 20th century, Robert Browning was the most influential in the shaping of the poetry for the British and American poets. A genius in his on right, I found him to be a little strange and unusual. He sought to find his voice through impersonating people as a way gaining acceptance from others. It was through his plays and poetry that he was able to reveal his secrets.

Keekwak,
Once again, this posting is too brief and vague to be effective. You ought to focus on a particular poem by Browning, quote from it, and discuss the possible meanings of the passage you quote and how it helps to inform an understanding of the entire poem, or of Browning's works. It might be helpful for you to look at some of the other blogs for this course, and see how your classmates write.
Keekwak,
I am very surprised to hear how much praise you give to Robert Browning. Truly an interesting idea to say that he influenced the realm of writing in the way in which you described. Don't get me wrong...he was one of the best or he would not have stood the test of time. However, I am a bit shocked at your very high regard for his writing-but shocked in the best kind of way.

If Browning sought to find his own voice by impersonating people, was it really "his" voice. I'm glad you like Browning so much, but what exact parts of his writing did you like the most?
I think that Robert Browning was content with his life when his wife was alive, and that is why he did not pursue publishing his writing. After his wife passed away, he felt a void that he filled with publishing and writing more works. I did enjoy you blog on Robert Browning.

I wish there had been more about Browning. Perhaps if you had picked a work and wrote about how it made you feel, this blog would be more beneficial to the rest of the class. I did enjoy reading the amount of praise you gave him. I agree with you when you say "a genius in his own right, I found hime to be a little strange and unusual."
What were his secrets? How did you find him unusual? You say good things about him but I would have loved to see your ideas of why he is so great.
